Flanged Ball Valve

Industrial flange ball valves are valves driven by a worm gear mechanism, using the rotation of a ball to control the opening, closing, and flow direction of pipeline media. Their nominal pressure ranges from PN1.0 to 32.0 MPa, with a nominal diameter range of DN6 to 900. Connection methods include flange, weld neck, and threaded connections. The applicable temperature range is -196℃ to 540℃. This valve employs three structural types: floating ball, fixed ball, and elastic ball, and is equipped with flange connections and electric or pneumatic actuators, featuring a 90° rotation for rapid shut-off. The body of industrial flange ball valve is made of stainless steel or 316L stainless steel, and the sealing structure is available in PTFE soft seal and metal hard seal; the former is suitable for temperatures ≤250℃, while the latter is suitable for high-temperature media. The full-bore design results in low flow resistance, supports horizontal installation, and is suitable for complex fluids containing particles, fibers, etc. The product conforms to GB/T21465-2008 standards and can achieve automated control in industries such as petroleum, chemical, power, and food through flange connections. Explosion-proof models meet the safety requirements for flammable and explosive environments.

Working Principle

Opening Process
1. In the closed position, the ball is pressed tightly against the valve seat by the mechanical pressure of the valve stem.
2. When the handwheel is turned counterclockwise, the valve stem moves in the opposite direction, and its bottom angular plane disengages the ball from the valve seat.
3. The valve stem continues to rise and interacts with the guide pin in the valve stem's spiral groove, causing the ball to begin rotating without friction.
4. Until the fully open position, the valve stem rises to its limit, and the ball rotates to the fully open position.

Closed Process
1. To close, turn the handwheel clockwise; the valve stem begins to descend, causing the ball to leave the valve seat and begin rotating.
2. Continue rotating the handwheel; the valve stem, acted upon by the guide pin embedded in its spiral groove, causes both the valve stem and the ball to rotate 90° simultaneously.
3. Near the close, the ball has rotated 90° without contacting the valve seat.
4.In the last few rotations of the handwheel, the angular plane at the bottom of the valve stem mechanically weaves and presses against the ball, pressing it tightly against the valve seat, achieving a complete seal.
