FRPP Butterfly Valve

FRPP butterfly valves are a common type of valve in industrial piping systems, primarily used to control the on/off state of fluids or regulate flow. Its core material is FRPP, or glass fiber reinforced polypropylene, which possesses excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, making it suitable for conveying various chemical media.

Structure and Working Principle

FRPP butterfly valves mainly consist of a valve body, valve plate, valve stem, and sealing ring. The valve body is made of FRPP material and contains a circular valve plate, which is connected to an external handwheel or actuator via the valve stem. When the handwheel is rotated, the valve plate rotates accordingly, thus opening or closing the valve.

Its working principle is similar to that of a regular butterfly valve, adjusting the flow area of the medium by rotating the valve plate. When the valve plate is parallel to the pipeline, the valve is fully open, allowing fluid to flow freely; when the valve plate is perpendicular to the pipeline, the valve is closed, preventing fluid flow. Due to the properties of FRPP material, this type of valve is particularly suitable for conveying corrosive media.
