Liquid Mixing Tank

Liquid mixing tanks are suitable for the preparation and storage of liquid and solid materials in the traditional Chinese medicine, food, and chemical industries. Steam or cold water is introduced into the tank jacket to maintain the material at a suitable temperature, making them ideal equipment for preparing injections, large-volume infusions, and concentrated and diluted pharmaceutical solutions. The most basic function of a Liquid mixing tank is preparation and mixing, or stirring. Through stirring, different materials can be mixed, reacted, dissolved, or crystallized. Various stirring methods are used, depending on the material, process, or operating requirements. Conventional stirring methods use paddles, which are suitable for medium and low speeds. Dispersing discs, magnetic stirrers, or emulsifying heads provide high shear and are capable of high-speed mixing.

Product Features

Liquid mixing tanks are essential equipment in the preparation of liquid products. They are generally pressure vessels, but some mixing tanks can also be designed as atmospheric pressure vessels. After weighing, the raw materials are added to the mixing tank at different times and temperatures based on the production process requirements. The main and auxiliary agitators then stir the product for a specified period of time until it meets the production process requirements. Once the liquid is prepared and qualified, it is pumped into the storage tank via a cam rotor pump. The liquid to be filled is then automatically transferred from the storage tank to the filling machine via a pharmaceutical-grade rotor pump. After production, the system is cleaned with 80°C purified water.

The sanitary-grade mixing tank and process piping are constructed of 316L stainless steel, while other ancillary equipment, including the platform, is constructed of 304 stainless steel. All main welds are welded using an automatic welding machine, while all pipe joints are hand-welded with quick-release joints. The welds are polished.
Depending on the product's production process, the preparation process requires steam heating, cooling water cooling, purified water filling, and 80°C purified water spray cleaning.
