Water Receiving Tank

In phosphoric acid production or processing lines (such as wet-process phosphoric acid production, phosphoric acid concentration, phosphoric acid purification, and phosphorus chemical processing), the collection tank is not just an ordinary drainage facility, but a critical safety, environmental protection, and process recovery component.
The collection tank is specifically designed to collect phosphoric acid, phosphoric acid-containing process media, or flushing water that may leak or overflow from equipment, pipelines, valves, flanges, and pump seals in the phosphoric acid system. Because phosphoric acid (especially hot concentrated phosphoric acid) is highly corrosive, irritating, and contains impurities such as fluorine and heavy metals, its leakage poses a significant hazard, thus requiring extremely high design standards.

Core Functions

Safety Protection (Primary Function):
Preventing personnel burns: Avoiding contact between highly corrosive phosphoric acid and operators.
Preventing foundation corrosion: Preventing leaked acid from directly corroding concrete foundations and floors, causing structural damage.
Preventing slip and fall accidents: Keeping inspection passages and work areas dry.

Environmental Protection:
Eliminating uncontrolled emissions: Collecting 100% of all possible leakage points, preventing high-phosphorus, high-fluorine, and acidic wastewater from seeping into the soil or entering the rainwater system.
Compliance: It is a mandatory facility to meet environmental regulations regarding the collection of hazardous chemical leaks.

Process and Economic Benefits:
Recovering valuable materials: The collected concentrated phosphoric acid or high-concentration phosphoric acid-containing liquid can be returned to the process system, reducing material loss and raw material consumption.
Reducing treatment costs: Centralized collection and treatment of leaked liquid is far less expensive than treating large areas of contaminated soil or diluted wastewater.

Typical Application Scenarios

External Wall Water Cooling Collection

The outer wall of the phosphoric acid hydration tower/reaction tower uses a ring-shaped spray pipe for cooling. The sprayed water flows down the tower wall and is collected by a "conical collection tank" coaxially installed at the bottom of the tower, and then pumped back to the cooling tower for circulation.

Equipment Mechanical Seal Water Collection

The drainage water from mechanical seals of vacuum pumps, steam turbines, etc., has good water quality and is collected through underground collection tanks to a return water tank, and then directly reused after passing through a cooling tower, reducing the need for fresh water replenishment.

Phosphoric Acid Iron Rotary Kiln Cooling Section

The bottom of the cooling water tank is equipped with a DN150 drainage port. Hot water flows into the collection tank by gravity, and then is lifted to the cooling tower by a primary pump to complete a closed-loop circulation.
