Pph Absorber Tower

The PPH absorber tower is a device for purifying acid mist exhaust gas. Acidic/alkaline gases are generated during processes such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid, H₂F, and hydrochloric acid. The exhaust gas enters the high-efficiency absorber via an induced draft fan. At the top of the absorber, a spray nozzle evenly distributes the absorbent liquid onto the packing, allowing for sufficient contact between the exhaust gas and the absorbent liquid. Due to its high mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, high porosity, and large surface area, the two have ample contact area and reaction time. The purified gas, saturated with water, passes through a demisting device at the top of the tower to remove the moisture before being discharged directly into the atmosphere.

Working Principle

The PPH absorber tower operates primarily based on the principle of gas absorption. Its core principle is to utilize the differences in solubility of gases in liquids to separate and purify specific gas components.
Gas Entry: The gas to be treated enters the tower from the bottom and flows upward.
Liquid Spray: The absorbent liquid is sprayed downward from the top of the tower, countercurrently contacting the rising gas.
Mass Transfer Process: Harmful components in the gas are absorbed or chemically reacted with the liquid, thereby removing them. Purified Gas Exhaust: Treated gas passes through a demister and exits the tower top, while the absorption liquid is collected at the bottom and recycled.

Structure and Composition

Tower Body: The main structure, internally equipped with a packing layer or spray device to increase the gas-liquid contact area.
Packing Layer: The packing material can be Pall rings, Raschig rings, etc., used to improve absorption efficiency.
Spray System: Evenly sprays the absorbent liquid through nozzles, ensuring full contact with the gas.
Demister: Located at the top of the tower, used to separate liquid droplets entrained in the gas, preventing liquid from being discharged with the gas.
Inlet and Outlet Pipes: Used for gas input and output, and absorption liquid circulation, respectively.

Chemical Industry

Used to treat acidic or alkaline waste gases generated during production, such as hydrogen chloride and ammonia.

Environmental Engineering

Used in waste gas treatment to remove harmful gases such as hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide, reducing environmental pollution.
