Working Principle
The PPH tail gas tower works by separating pollutants from the gas and converting them into harmless substances, thus purifying the gas. It belongs to the differential contact counter-current type, and the packing material inside the tower is the basic component for gas-liquid two-phase contact. After the gas from outside the tower enters the tower, it enters the packing layer. The packing layer contains sprayed liquid from the top and front, forming a liquid film on the packing. When the gas flows through the gaps in the packing, it contacts the liquid film and undergoes absorption or neutralization. The packing layer provides a sufficiently large surface area without creating excessive resistance to gas flow. After absorption or neutralization, the gas is collected by a demister and discharged outside the tower through the outlet.
Design Features
Compact Structure: The tower body can be cylindrical or square, facilitating installation and maintenance.
Cost-Effectiveness: Compared to stainless steel or fiberglass, PPH exhaust gas towers are less expensive, but their strength and temperature resistance fall between PP and stainless steel.
Material Characteristics
PPH material offers superior chemical corrosion resistance and temperature resistance compared to ordinary polypropylene (PP). Its operating temperature range is -5℃ to 120℃, making it suitable for treating acidic or alkaline waste gases such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and hydrochloric acid.
