Performance Characteristics
It is lightweight and easy to install. It exhibits good impact resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and low-temperature resistance. It is non-toxic, has a low coefficient of friction, and is an excellent shock-resistant pipe. Furthermore, through reasonable adjustments to the material formula and structure, PP spiral wound pipe also possesses high ring stiffness.
Production Process
PP material is extruded into "strips" (usually profiles with T-ribs). On an adjustable-diameter rotary die, the strips are spirally wound and simultaneously heat-fused, causing the T-ribs of adjacent strips to fuse together.
After cooling and setting, the strips are demolded to form a continuous tube of unlimited length. Very large diameters can be produced.
