Fiberglass Spiral Wound Pipe

Fiberglass Spiral Wound Pipe

Fiberglass spiral wound pipe, also known as fiberglass spiral wound sand-filled pipe (RPM pipe), primarily uses glass fiber and its products as reinforcing materials, with unsaturated polyester resin and epoxy resin as basic materials, and inorganic non-metallic particles such as quartz sand and calcium carbonate as fillers. There are three manufacturing methods: fixed-length winding, centrifugal casting, and continuous winding.

Product Features

Fiberglass spiral wound pipe

Excellent corrosion resistance. Because the main raw materials of fiberglass are unsaturated polyester resin and glass fiber, it effectively resists corrosion from acids, alkalis, salts, and untreated domestic sewage, corrosive soils, chemical wastewater, and many chemical liquids. Under normal conditions, it can maintain safe pipeline operation for a long time.
Good anti-aging and heat resistance. Fiberglass pipes can be used for extended periods in a temperature range of -40℃ to 70℃. Pipes using specially formulated high-temperature resistant resins can operate normally at temperatures above 200℃. For pipes used outdoors for extended periods, ultraviolet absorbers are added to the outer surface to eliminate ultraviolet radiation and delay the aging of the fiberglass pipes.
Excellent freeze resistance. Even at temperatures below -20℃, the pipe will not crack after freezing inside.
Lightweight, high strength, and easy to transport. Fiberglass pipes are not only lightweight, high-strength, and highly malleable, but also easy to transport and install. They are also easy to install various branch pipes, and the installation technique is simple.
Good hydraulic performance. The smooth inner wall provides strong conveying capacity; it does not scale, rust, or experience low water resistance.
High design flexibility. Fiberglass spiral wound pipes can be designed and manufactured to meet various specific user requirements, such as different flow rates, pressures, burial depths, and load conditions, producing pipelines of different pressure and stiffness ratings.
Low maintenance costs. Due to the aforementioned corrosion resistance, wear resistance, freeze resistance, and fouling resistance, fiberglass pipes eliminate the need for rust prevention, fouling prevention, insulation, and heat preservation measures and maintenance. Cathodic protection is not required for buried pipes, saving over 70% in project maintenance costs.
